YOUR NEW KVCORE WEBSITE
Every agent will get their own website. You can use it "out of the box" or customize as you wish.
> HOME PAGE
Your home page has a property search bar front and center, so consumers can go straight to listings!
> REGISTRATION PROMPT
Visitors to your website will have a certain number of clicks or interactions with listings before they’ll be asked to register and create an account. These settings can be adjusted within your account.
> CUSTOMER ACCOUNT
Once consumers register on your site they can access their account and view and edit saved searches.
Changes you make will appear for the consumer in their account area, and changes they make will appear on the Alerts tab on their contact record.
> CUSTOM PAGES
Create your own content to showcase your business and your specialties! By default, they’ll appear under resources but you can customize your navigation.
> CUSTOM NAVIGATION
After adding your custom pages and categories to your website, you can then attach them to the main navigation on your kvCORE website.
This is done in your Web & IDX settings after your pages are added. You cannot set up your navigation options until the pages or categories you want have been created.
> PROPERTY CAROUSELS
Multiple options are available for including property carousels on your home page.
Connect your Testimonial account as follows:
Shop Marketplace>Testimonialtree>Install. Once Testimonialtree indicates it has been installed, log in to your testimonialtree account.
Visit https://testimonialtree.com/ or if you need to reset your password, use this link: https://testimonialtree.com/ForgotPassword.aspx
Copy one of your 5-star reviews, make a note of the name of the client who gave it.
Open up KV Core and navigate to Web & IDX>Website content>Testimonials
Select "Add testimonials" and paste the testimonial into the Testimonial field box as well as who the testimonial was from in the "name" field.
Select "add" to save.
The sync with TT occurs each day at 3 am, so this change and any new testimonials you may receive in future will not be available in kvCORE until the next morning.
By default your testimonials will populate on your website under the ‘Your Agent’ tab, on the ‘Testimonial’ page.
Your testimonials are managed in kvCORE’s Web & IDX settings > Content. If you wish, you can remove a testimonial from being shown on your website.
While you don’t have to customize anything to have a fully functional website, there are a lot of ways to add some customizations to your company provided kvCORE website. Both visual and functional settings can be customized.
NOW LET'S CUSTOMIZE A FEW THINGS...
Custom pages are additional pages that you create for your kvCORE website.
You can add images, text, and even video! There’s an easy-to-use editor that can be utilized to design the content of your pages. For those with experience with code, the HTML of custom pages can be edited using the ‘<>’ icon in the editor to access the source code.
Your custom pages will typically be accessible on your site from your website’s main navigation. By default they’ll be located under ‘Resources’ tab, but you can also customize your navigation menu.

> TITLE
This is the title of the page as it will show on the ‘Resources’ page or in the main navigation of your website if you specify it in your website settings.
> CATEGORY
This is the name of the section the page will be nested under on the ‘Resources’ page. It will also be used to name the menu item in your main navigation if you choose to specify it in website settings.
> SLUG
This is how the URL will look to access the page. It’s generated automatically from the title, and you can edit it additionally if necessary.
> META TAG DESCRIPTION
The Meta Tag description for the page. Recommended to be two sentences. If you are not familiar with SEO, simply describe what your page is about using two short sentences.
> META TAG KEWORDS
The literal meta tag keywords for the page. Recommended as single words separated by commas. If you are not familiar with SEO, just specify a few words that are relevant to the information actually on the page. Do not enter words that are not related (in a contextual sense.) For example, if your page is about Dog Parks near area X, then enter “dog parks, area x”.
> RSS/PROPERTY FEED
You can embed an RSS Feed into the space to the right of where the custom page is. This is useful for supplying a news feed that relates to the page you are posting. Just enter the URL of the feed.
Also known as ‘Areas We Cover’, SEO Area Pages in KvCORE allow you to add your own unique content to the different area pages on your KvCORE website. The area pages show at the bottom of your site in the footer.
Clicking on any of these areas displays a statistical page full of relevant information. Depending on your goals, you can fill in even more information to make the page unique and relevant.
There are basic SEO techniques to specify “keywords” for the page and then fill in content that is relevant to those keywords in a contextual sense.
What that means exactly is that if you put a set of keywords separated by commas, those keywords should be relevant to the text on that page.
If you list the keywords as such, and then you simply list your keywords again on the page, that will not accomplish anything. You would have to write a paragraph or two, or three of content that is related to the keywords that you list.
Can you use a peronal domain? Yes! To do so you’ll need to choose between these two options:
Do you have a Facebook account or Facebook Business Page? Would you like to add easy access to Facebook Messenger Chat for visitors to your website? It offers a seamless way for customers to reach out in an unobtrusive way.
It’s entirely possible with your kvCORE agent website! If you’d like to include this you have two options for getting it done.
The first option is quick and easy but doesn’t truly embed Facebook Messenger on your website. It creates a call-to-action that appears on your site which links to Facebook Messenger externally.
The second option is a more fully integrated and elegant solution that requires a little more work. Honest thoughts though? The extra time is worth it – you’ll get a lot more engagement.
Both options can be used if you have a Facebook Business Page. Only "Option One" can be used if you only have a personal account.
Make sure you have the Facebook Messenger app installed and that push notifications are fully enabled so you don’t miss potential leads!
Option 1 works BOTH for personal Facebook accounts AND Business pages!
> STEP 1
First, you’ll go to Web & IDX > Website Settings > General.
Scroll down to the ‘Facebook Username for Chat’ setting. Enter your Facebook Page’s username (or personal Facebook username) in this field and click ‘Save’.
Not sure of where to find or setup your page’s username? Go to your page on Facebook (in a browser) and then Settings > General Page Settings.
> STEP 2
Next, you’ll go to Web & IDX > Website Settings > Template. Scroll down to the ‘Hide Chat Widget’ setting, and toggle it to ‘Off’.
You’re all set! Users who click on the chat prompt will be brought to Facebook Messenger via an external link.
You must have a Facebook Business Page for Option 2 to work. A personal Facebook account does not currently offer this functionality.
> STEP 1
First, login to the Facebook account which manages your Business Page in a web browser on a laptop or desktop computer. Then navigate to https://business.facebook.com/.
Once there, make sure the correct Business Page is selected, and then click on ‘Inbox’.
> STEP 2
From your Facebook Business Page’s Inbox, you’ll click on the gear icon at the top of the page and then choose ‘View all Settings’.
> STEP 3
On the Inbox Settings Page, you’ll choose ‘Chat Plugin’ and then customize your plugin’s default settings. If you make changes here, be sure to click ‘Publish’ at the bottom right to save those settings.
When ready, click ‘Set Up’.
> STEP 4
Choose the ‘Standard’ setup method.
> STEP 5
Set the chat plugin’s language, as desired.
> STEP 6
On the domains screen, make sure your new kvCORE site’s URL is properly listed! If not, add it.
(Psst… if it’s wrong here, make sure you update it on your Facebook page info too!)
> STEP 7
On the next page, click the ‘Copy Code’ button, then ‘Next’ and ‘Finish’
> STEP 8
Switch over to kvCORE in another browser tab and go to Web & IDX > Website Settings > General. Scroll down to the ‘Custom Chat Widget’ setting.
Paste the code copied from Facebook here, and then click ‘Save’.
> STEP 9
Next, you’ll go to Web & IDX > Website Settings > Template. Scroll down to the ‘Hide Chat Widget’ setting, and make sure it’s toggled to ‘On’.
You’re all set! Facebook Messenger is now fully embedded on your kvCORE website.
